It is very simple, thanks to free tools such as Google Analytics, to get an in-depth analysis of your website's performance. From measuring the number and quality of visits your website receives to more in-depth analysis of the technical performance of the site and returns on your various campaigns of marketing and communication, these tools provide a very broad range of information which you can use to improve your website and grow your business or audience.
Seeds CMS is designed to easily integrate your tracking code in the admin panel under Settings > Website > Snippets. Sesame Web can also help you understand the extensive information available.
Track performance of links from your website to external pages
Along with tracking the performance of your own website, if your content contains links to external websites/pages, it is good practice to add tracking codes to the link you are creating. Google provides a very nifty URL builder, which makes building tracked links easy. This ensures that you can, if the target website uses Google Analytics (or a system using the same tracking parameters), specify the source of the link, and even more parameters such as campaign terms or information, which is particularly useful to measure how much traffic you might be sending to these links. FOr example, this may be useful if you are trying to form partnerships with third parties, as proof of traffic sent to them.
